Developmental Optometrists

Developmental optometrists, also known as behavioral or pediatric optometrists (if your specialty is with school age children), are more than your average eye doctor. There is more to optometry than correcting blurred vision or an astigmatism. Are the eyes functioning together as a team? Is the malfunction affecting learning? Is a vision disorder affecting motor control? Those are the questions that concern developmental optometrists.

IM is the only training program that improves timing in the brain in an organized, systematic, flexible and engaging format.

Vision problems could lead to eyestrain, pain and frustration that manifests as bad behavior, inattention, poor posture, lower academic performance and general emotional disorders associated with increased social pressure. Many visual and auditory processing conditions are associated with poor Neurotiming. So, addressing the underlying problem of deficient Neurotiming can help pave the way for greater success in therapy.
