Our Policies
REPORTING OF CEUs:
CE BROKER: Interactive Metronome reports CEUs for the LIVE and LIVE VIRTUAL course titled Certification: Interactive Metronome for Pediatrics and Adults for PHYSICAL THERAPISTS and PHYSICAL THERAPY ASSISTANTS to CE Broker in the state of FLORIDA within 30 days of course completion. Please maintain a copy of your course completion certificate. All other disciplines must self-report CEUs to CE Broker. You may do this be establishing an account with CE Broker. If you do not wish to track your CEUs through CE Broker, establishing a BASIC account for the purposes of reporting your CEUs is free of charge.
ASHA: Interactive Metronome reports ASHA CEUs to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) for SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS and AUDIOLOGISTS for courses that are currently offered for ASHA CEUs. SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGISTS in their CFY YEAR are eligible for ASHA CEUs and must email clinicaled@interactivemetronome.com with the date of the course, CFY Supervisor’s name and ASHA number within 7 days of completing the course. Please check the IM COURSES section of our website for most current course offering information. NOTE: The ASHA CEU Form is no longer used. Upon successful completion of the post-test and course evaluation, you will receive a certificate of completion and your CEUs will be reported to ASHA. Please allow for up to 45 days from the date of your LIVE or VIRTUAL LIVE course for CEUs to be reported. Self-study course CEUs may be reported to ASHA on a monthly or quarterly basis depending upon the course.
AOTA: There is no reporting requirement for AOTA. If an AOTA member takes a course that is currently approved for AOTA CEUs, please maintain a copy of your course completion certificate.
NBCOT: There is no reporting requirement for NBCOT. If an NBCOT member takes a course that is approved for AOTA CEUs, NBCOT PDUs are automatically awarded. Please maintain a copy of your course completion certificate.
LIVE (ON-SITE) COURSES
Cancellation: IM reserves the right to determine the appropriate recourse for any CE activity for unforeseeable circumstances, such as a natural or man-made disaster, or in the event not enough attendees enroll in the course. To receive a full refund or course transfer, you must submit your request in writing (via U.S. certified mail or email) within 30 days of the date of notification.
Participants who wish to cancel their registration must do so in writing. Participants who notify IM of their cancellation in writing (via U.S. certified mail or email) 4+ weeks prior to the date of the course receive a full refund within 30 days of receipt of their notification. Participants who notify IM of their cancellation in writing (via U.S. certified mail or email) 2-4 weeks prior to the date of the course receive a 50% refund within 30 days of receipt of their notification. Participants who notify IM of their cancellation in writing (via U.S. certified mail or email) 1-2 weeks prior to the date of the course receive a voucher worth 50% of the course fee to attend another IM course. Participants who do not notify IM of their cancellation do not receive a refund.
Course Site Policy: IM Reserves the right to change location of course site up until 14 days before the course date. Please note we will not move the new location more than 30 miles from the original location. Registrants will be notified via e-mail if the location change occurs.
IM Snow Schedule: In the event that an IM course location has predicted snow fall, mass transit is still running and the roads are open, the snow schedule will go into effect. Courses will start 2 hours later than the regular start time and follow the agenda outlined below. If mass transit is not running, or authorities are recommending staying off the highways, the course will be rescheduled to a different date or you will have the option to be transferred to any course location, no refunds will be given.
Special Needs: Interactive Metronome® requires that learning facilities provide documentation of ADA compliance and their ability to accommodate special needs of participants prior to booking a reservation. Instructors are made aware of participants that have physical, sensory, emotional and/or learning disabilities and their special needs requests in advance of the course. It is the responsibility of the instructor and/or designated support personnel to ensure that the proper accommodation has been met or to seek assistance from a facility liaison when necessary on the day of the course. Please email us at the time of your registration to notify us of any special needs or assistance you will require at the course (i.e. dietary, accommodations for physical disability etc.).
Food & Beverage: Morning and afternoon beverages and snacks will be served. Lunch will be on your own.
LIVE WEBINARS
Cancellation: IM reserves the right to determine the appropriate recourse for any CE activity for unforeseeable circumstances. Participants may only transfer to a webinar at a later date, no refunds are permitted.
